Mission Statement
We seek to follow and implement the wise remarks of Rebieeh ibn Uaamar, a noble companion and important personality in Islam. When questioned by the Persian Emperor about the purpose and goals of the Muslim nation he in a short sentence said:
“We are a nation sent by ALLAH (swt) to remove mankind from the worship of the creation to the worship of the creator!”
May ALLAH (swt) give the UTSMS the ability, knowledge and enduring commitment as was given to the companions of Prophet Mohammed PBUH to achieve this mission.

About Us
The UTS Muslim Society is the sole representative body of Muslim students on campus. The association was formed in 1994 by a group of Muslim students who sought to provide all Muslims with the opportunity to practice Islam whilst completing their academic studies at university. Over the years, the association has developed an extensive student and staff network, catering for the needs of over 400 members.
The UTSMS is governed by an underlying desire, which seeks only to obtain the pleasure of ALLAH (swt) & to spread the message of Islam on campus.
This is overseen by a professional shura committee of 10 members elected annually by the members of the UTSMS.
